As SP joins forces with other leading manufacturers

Gurit Composite Technologies is a new collaboration of four market-leading composites companies - SP, IMS, Stesalit, Gurit Suprem – and is pleased to announce its launch. By uniting the capabilities of each company, Gurit Composite Technologies looks to provide an unrivalled and comprehensive range of products and technologies to customers, specifically tailored to key markets.

Each of the four companies will continue to focus on its own market areas, but through this collaboration can now offer even more complete solutions, drawing on the group’s combined skill base and product range which is wider than any other in today’s composite industry.

Gurit Composite Technologies will launch at JEC, with all member companies available to discuss and demonstrate their full range of composite capabilities within the aerospace, automotive, civil engineering, marine, oil and gas, wind energy and winter sports markets. The combined product range includes: thermoset and thermoplastic prepregs, extruded thermoplastic sheets, pultruded plates and rods, pressed laminates, liquid resins, adhesives, surfacing systems, reinforcement fabrics, structural engineering design and technical support services.

SP

With headquarters in the UK and further operations in Spain and Australia, SP has years of experience in the marine, wind energy and automotive industries. SP’s offering includes heavyweight structural prepregs, liquid epoxies for infusion and laminating, structural paste and film adhesives, dry reinforcements, core materials and extensive structural design and process engineering services.

IMS
With operations in Australia, Switzerland and France, IMS supply a complete range of materials to the winter sports industry. From structural prepregs to thermoplastic top surfaces and running bases, IMS offer many customized solutions to this demanding market segment.

Stesalit
With headquarters in Switzerland and additional manufacturing in Germany, Stesalit supply specialist products to the aerospace industry. Areas of expertise include fire resistant prepreg materials and laminates for aircraft interiors, and glass and carbon prepregs for secondary structures. Stesalit also provide materials for specialist industrial and automotive components, and carbon fibre pultrusions for the reinforcement of civil engineering structures.

Gurit Suprem
Based in Switzerland, Gurit Suprem provide thermoplastic prepregs based on high performance engineering polymers for diverse applications, including the oil and gas industry. Gurit Suprem’s technology steps where conventional composite materials simply cannot go.
