Gill launch their all encompassing range of marine gloves

Gill has tackled the design of their new range of gloves using experts from the fields of marine and ski glove design to produce what they believe to be the most comprehensive range of marine gloves available, suitable every type of sailing in every climatic condition.

In producing the new range the product development team started from scratch to improve on the three key requirements of their Dinghy gloves:

Grip
Durability
Dexterity

Several of the gloves feature a revolutionary new re-enforcing material that Gill claims lasts more than three times as long as conventional materials. Many of the gloves are pre-shaped for comfort and feature a patented 'gun cut' finger design to allow for this shaping and also to eliminate vulnerable seams on the fingers.

The range comprises eight glove styles covering every type of sailing from Dinghy to Ocean. Four additional styles encompassing Ocean, Offshore, Inshore Cruising and Racing, will be available later this year.

Super tough Long and Short finger gloves for all-season Dinghy sailing/Offshore racing. Gill recommends these for top end sailors, claiming that these gloves will satisfy anyone who claims to get through a pair of gloves in a weekend!

Gill has patented this design which uses a tough new material - Proton-Ultra™- it’s never before been used in the manufacture of sailing gloves but is claimed to be three times more durable than Amara® as demonstrated by Gill’s Martindale abrasion tests.
Pro Gloves reduce water absorption and they’re warmer than Amara®, whether wet or dry.

Available in black in sizes XS-XXL they come in long and short finger versions and cost £25.

Championship Gloves

Long and Short finger version for all-season Dinghy sailing/Inshore racing - tough for extended wear. They provide contoured fit, excellent grip and durability and dexterity. Kevlar®-bound palms and superior grip from Proton-Ultra™ palm with wrap construction to prevent rope burn.
Available in blue'grey in XS – X they come in long and short finger versions and cost £20.

Womens Championship Gloves

Long finger, all-season Dinghy sailing/Inshore racing. Womens’ hands are narrower in the palm so finger length is in proportion to the palm width.

Available in ladies's sizing from S - L in Blue/Grey. They cost £20.

Deckhand Gloves

Long and Short finger for all-season versions suitable for dinghy sailing/Inshore cruising; Moderate wear providing excellent durability, improved dexterity, a contoured fit and they hold less water. Seamless wrap around reinforcement on fingers, inside wrist closure prevents false starting of watch and the finger length has been increased on the short finger version for maximum protection.

Cold Weather Gloves

Neoprene Winter Gloves - Moderate Winter wear for Dinghy and Inshore cruising. Features a unique cuff design with an inner layer of neoprene fitting under the sleeve cuff, with the outer layer lying over the top to form a waterproof seal. Water-resistant, warm and gives excellent grip.

Extreme Gloves

Tough, breathable winter gloves for Dinghy, Inshore and Offshore racing. They feature patented pre-curved fingers with seamless construction for ultimate durability and a Proton-Ultra™palm. Gill has used water-repelling Primaloft® hydrophobic insulation to provide high thermal retention and warmth, providing thickness without losing dexterity.

Helmsman Gloves

Winter gloves for moderate use when Inshore and Offshore cruising. There are some innovations to this gloves: The new design incorporates pre-curved fingers for a more active fit; a waterproof breathable handliner and soft Fibrefill insulation with a wicking inner liner, plus Proton-Ultra™reinforcement on the fingers for better grip and dexterity.
