Marinecall re-launch weather forecasting services with new online shop

Marinecall, the on demand weather forecasting service have announced that they have updated, reformatted and re-priced their services to sailors and seafarers. The company say that results are already justifying the input with significantly increased levels of business in their telephone and fax services – and to the new online shop.

The Marinecall Advance Fax service shows the most dramatic change in format, with easy to read tabulated forecasts for 5-days ahead. All details of wind speed and direction, visibility, cloud cover, temperatures and atmospheric pressure are shown for 0600, 1200, 1800 and 2400 for the first day and at 12 noon on the succeeding 5 days, for your choice of Inshore, Coastal, Offshore or European area.

There is also a Met Office general 24-hour synopsis. All this topped off with Synoptic chart, if you choose the “Advanced” option, the National UK Forecast for the following 6-10 days and projections for the month ahead.

Cost is £1.50 per minute. Marinecall Standard Fax offers a detailed 48-hour forecast and a 48-hour synoptic chart at £1 per minute.

Marinecall’s new online shop is at http://shop.marinecall.co.uk/web/ provides the same data – but at an even lower price.

Marinecall’s SMS service also benefits from the changes and you can expect to get an accurate forecast for just 25p for over 150 locations around the UK coast.
