Dear reader,

It's that time of year where we say 'Seasons Greetings' and offer up to you The Snake's Christmas Crossword - a perfect antidote to brussel sprouts and too much mulled wine.

Clues include toughies like: 22 down, Rope entrepreneur from 1920s Italy (5,10) to the obscure; 48 across, Thin, wispy and usually 6km above us (6).

There are some great prizes to be won and the winners will be chosen by random from the correct entries we receive back by Friday 5th January. You can mail, fax or scan/email your answers back to us.

It remains for us to wish you a Merry Christmas and thank you for reading TheDailySail in 2006.

Best wishes,

James, Andy, Toby, Simon and our contributors
