New store opened by Olympic medallist

Ben Ainslie MBE, double Olympic Gold Medal Winner, has officially opened the new Henri-Lloyd Sailing Store in Falmouth. The 1100 sq foot store located at 25 Market Street is Henri-Lloyd’s second Sailing Store - following the success of the first Sailing Store in Cowes.

The Falmouth store offers Henri-Lloyd’s marine, lifestyle and footwear collections.Henri Lloyd has targeted Falmouth as it is a thriving area with many new businesses and second homes. The location also enables Henri-Lloyd to become more involved with the local community and sailing fraternity around Falmouth and Truro.

Ben Ainslie grew up and learned to sail in Falmouth and brought his second Olympic Gold Medal to show his supporters. Cutting the ribbon to declare the Henri-Lloyd Sailing Store officially open, he said: “I am delighted to be opening this store for Henri-Lloyd. Falmouth has a lot to offer; terrific sailing, fantastic beaches and a growing community and I am sure that the Henri-Lloyd Sailing Store will be a great success. “
