We have already written about the Vendee Globe winner's new 60 footer.

While skipper Michel Desjoyeaux is known as an innovator, his new boat, sponsored by one of France's largest supermarket chains, is surprisingly unremarkable in the 60ft trimaran fleet other than in much of her detail. Her foils are said to be bigger than that of the competition and her cockpit is laid out to keep weight forward. She also has an unusual companionway to her cramped into via a hatch in her cockpit sole.

Unlike Sodebo and Gitana (see tomorrow's feature) she has been built from female moulds used in the constructions of various other trimarans, even the mast of the Nigel Irens-designed Fuji.

Her first outing will be at the Zeebrugge 60ft trimaran later this week.
