Finally, it's a girl.
Not a 25-ton America's Cup class yacht but a 6lb 13-oz baby girl.
Newborn Rose Victoria Dickson is the reason that Kiwi America's Cup guru Chris Dickson was absent from the Oracle team sailing program for a week.
There was much speculation that the Cup veteran had been sidelined by Larry Ellison's team but even Dickson is allowed days off to swap changing sails for nappies.
Rose Victoria will not be alone in the Oracle Racing Team’s purpose built creche (at the base) when her famous father gets down to real business of racing in the Louis Vuitton series this October.
The families of team members employed by Oracle already count some 96 children between them while this is Dickson’s second child.
