Racing cancelled
Friday July 19th 2002, Author: Sasha Oswald, Location: none selected
Racing was cancelled on the penultimate day of the Laser European Championships, Vallensbaek, Denmark, due to a lack of breeze. The competitors sat around waiting for the wind to fill in and when it was apparent that it would not show, the race officers abandoned racing for the day.
Racing will start one hour earlier tomorrow and it is hoped that three races will be sailed. If three races are sailed another discard comes into play, which could make dramatic differences to the results on the final day of the championships.
