Just logged on this weekend?

Well here are some of the stories that we ran during last week just to bring you up to date.

As the week started SEB was holding off illbruck while the ladies were 255 miles behind and in his comment piece Peter Bentley questioned why Amer Sports Too was so far behind - worse was to come.

A restraining order was placed on Sean Reeves, who stands accused of selling America's Cup technology secrets belonging to OneWorld and Team New Zealand - Andy Rice reports. And a crewman fell overboard during the Hamble River SC Winter Series and was airlifted to hospital with hypothermia.

On Tuesday Gunnar Krantz's SEB was the first round Eclipse Island in the Volvo and after 68 days at sea Rich Wilson and Bill Biewenga succeeded in breaking the clipper ship record between New York and Melbourne aboard their 53ft trimaran

Peter Bentley emerged from his garage to deliver his verdict on dinghy blocks, having subjected them to rigorous friction testing. Following the loss of Team New Zealand's mast, in Feedback designer Jason Ker defended the millennium rig.

Wednesday we reported that Amer Sports Too and djuice are to be protested by the race committee for infringing a traffic separation zone at the start in Cape Town, and race leader SEB was without a navigator. Marcel van Triest dived off the boat as it rounded Eclipse Island. This was not mutiny, but due to a bereavement in his family. He was picked up by a motorboat and has flown home.

James Boyd looked at how the 60ft trimarans have become the most successful of ocean racing classes.

Peter Bentley's article about the performance of Lisa MacDonald's Amer Sport Too was creating some considerable feedback from you. and we published the response of Susie Westmacott, sister of crew woman Emma.

Thursday was part two of our series on the fast, furious 60ft trimaran circuit, James Boyd looked at the designers and the design developments in ocean racing's fastest and most open class.

The short lists for the British Nautical Awards were published and madforsailing are one of three finalists for the media prize. Ellen MacArthur was nominated for the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Award. To vote for her (and we all must...) click here.

Friday we had a look at the great Torben Grael - gives Andy Rice his views about Star sailing, his plans for Athens and how these will fit in around his key role at the blunt end of Prada. While Amer Sport One doctor/navigator Roger Nilson looks back at the Keith Kilpatrick incident.

In Bermuda Hurricane Olga had been taking its toll, with winds too strong even for the International 14s.

And Peter Bentley's article questioning the performance of Lisa MacDonald's team and the reply from Susie Westmacott were still bringing in the feedback. Many of you feel that a VO 60 is not a boat on which men and women can compete on an equal footing. But what if the girls had had the preparation time and budget of say illbruck? What do you think?
