The arrivals of Michel Desjoyeaux and Ellen MacArthur saw spectacular scenes in the French port of Les Sables d'Olonne, and we've got footage of both for you (courtesy of BTopenworld), with commentary by the BBC Television sailing correspondent, Richard Simmonds.

The first is of Michel Desjoyeaux's arrival in a jam packed port, lit by everything from floodlights to flares and fireworks.


The second is of Ellen, doing the customary thing on the podium, and if you want to know what that is, you'll just have to watch it!
