RS to hold first Youth Championship

The first RS200 Youth Championship are designed to provide a competitive event for youth sailors, together with coaching from leading RS sailors.

There are two categories for the event; one where the helm and crew are both 19 or under, another (which can compete but not win the overall title) where the crew is older than 19. The championships will be held at the Bowmoor SC over the weekend of 13 - 14 October

The event will combine training and racing with Coaches available throughout the weekend to provide advice and give feedback. A good chance to get those tricky questions answered.

On Saturday coaching will be available from 1030 to give tips on tuning/on-shore training. There will be a briefing at 1130 and the first race at 1200. Races two and three will be back to back after lunch starting at approximately 1430hrs.

Sunday races four and five will be back to back starting at 1030hrs. After the Prizegiving and Lunch everyone is invited to stay for the two club races in the afternoon.

Entry fee - £15/ boat, to include tea on Saturday and the speaker/entertainment Saturday evening.
