NOTICE OF RACE
Introduction
The Volvo RYA Zone Squad Selection Series will take place at up to three selection events detailed in this Notice of Race.
Rules
The races will be governed by the current Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) the Prescriptions of the Royal Yachting Association (RYA), the Class Rules of the participating classes, this Notice of Race and the Sailing Instructions for the individual events.
Event and Organising Authority
The organising authority is the RYA and racing will be organised as defined in the Notice of Race for each event.
Classes
Classes to be raced shall be: Optimist, Cadet, Topper, Mirror, Aloha, JOD, 103, Open Longboard (must have a daggerboard and a sail no bigger than 6.5 sq.m.).
Eligibility
The Selection Series is normally open to Optimist sailors aged 14 and under on 31 December 2001, and to Cadet, Mirror, Topper and Board sailors aged 15 and under on 31 December 2001.
In order to qualify for the Zone Squad sailors must be resident in, or sail at, a club in the Zone
