GBR Challenge official clothing

GBR Challenge is the first British Challenge for the America's Cup since 1987. In becoming the official clothing supplier to GBR Challenge, Musto took a long hard look at the performance criteria that the clothing will have to meet.

The diverse requirements of the crew, from grinder's pit to foredeck, tactician to trimmer, Musto needed to design clothing that would perform for all, in this extreme inshore Grand Prix environment.

Musto's development program examined not only design functionality of the garments but also fabric. With their technology partners WL Gore & Associates, they developed and are using a new generation of fabric - Carbon HPX GORE-TEX Fabric.

It is lightweight, highly strong, durably waterproof and highly breathable, providing added maneuverability, flexibility and comfort to the wearer.

Polymer dots are applied to the GORE-TEX membrane to provide durability without any weight penalty. This is exclusive to Musto for three years. What's more this same technology is available to you!
