Datchet SC are holding a Laser Virtual Sailing Championships qualifier on Saturday

Laser Virtual Sailing Championships Qualifier at Datchet Water SC on Saturday 24 November - first start 12 noon.

If its cold on the water try the dry version. Laser are running a series of qualifying rounds between September and December with the finals to be held at the London 2002 Boat Show. Entry is open to all comers, the simulator will equalize differences in sailor size. Racing will held on a a short 3 to 4 minute course that includes windward, short reaches and leeward legs.

This event is mainly directed at competitive sailors starting from 14 to the more experienced. Laser has also included an Optimist program for the younger ones, so no one misses out.

Qualification for the 256 places for the elimination rounds will be by the fastest time around the course. The finals on the last Sunday of of the show will be one on one in two with sudden death elimination.

Laser are providing a brand new Laser to the overall winner to be presented at the London 2002 Boat Show. There will also be a host of other valuable prizes for the finalists.
