Latest Dyneema dinghy products

To complement their existing range of dinghy ropes, English Braids will be officially launching three brand new products at the RYA Dinghy Show, over the weekend of 2-3 March at Alexandra Palace, London.

The first product is DynaStay. Manufactured from the latest Dyneema MAX fibre, Dynastay offers the lowest creep Dyneema ever, making it a real alternative for steel wire standing rigging.

"With seven times the strength for the same weight of wire, this ensures a weight saving of up to six times is achievable," explains Justin Jones, Marine Sales Manager at English Braids. "The excellent UV and salt water resistance makes DynaStay the ultimate standing rigging option. English Braids are looking to work with our trade partners to bring this product to the mainstream within the UK
sailing market."

The Continuous Control line is a light polypropylene cored rope with high performance Dyneema and polyester mix cover and is ideal for all control lines. “The line is easily spliced to form a continuous loop without increasing the diameter at the splice making it the perfect choice," says Jones.

TaperSheet – last but not least is the new taper line which has a 3mm Dyneema core with a light, buoyant polypropylene 6mm cover providing comfort for the hands.

“The cover can be stripped and spliced easily into the core to provide a seamless taper, reducing weight and drag yet maintaining the strength and durability of the Dyneema core,” says Jones.
