RS:X Women
In the last full fleet races in the Women’s RS:X it was Finland’s Tuuli Petäjä and, thankfully Britain’s Bryony Shaw, who had the best days both posting a 5-1. For the Finnish sailor it draw is her level on points with second placed Israeli Lee-El Korzits with Spanish favourite Marina Alabau leading by a comfortable 14 points going into the medal race.
Today’s fine performance left Britain’s Bryony Shaw still within 11 points of silver, but she is currently in seventh place with some powerful opposite between her and the goal. Today’s results left the British sailor’s medal hopes alive, but she’ll have to sail the race of her life if she wishes to stand on the podium on Tuesday.
