A brand new chandlers is to open at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy, offering a range of onsite chandlery services, catering for the needs of the dinghy sailor. The new shop will be called Weymouth Sailsports and will stock a large range of boating essentials and promises to be an excellent addition to the services already provided on site at the Academy.

Weymouth Sailsports will be aimed squarely at dinghies. With some of the UK’s biggest dinghy events held in Weymouth, the chandlery will prove a blessing for competitors as they will be able to find all the sailing equipment they need for their boat.

Mark Barnes an experienced and well known chandler and Managing Director of Weymouth Sailsports said: “We aim to be the local chandlery with the national offer and to match the Academy’s established high level of service. Fully stocked with leading brands of safety products, rope, hardware, clothing, shoes and much more, we look forward to welcoming the Academy customers and visitors.”

The chandlery will initially be open every weekend from 9am to 5pm and during sailing events at the Academy with hundreds of products on sale and Mark on hand to offer advice.
