Gill introduce the latest version of their Speedskin suit

Wednesday January 19th 2011, Author: James Boyd, Location: United Kingdom

The Speedskin suit from Gill has seen many evolutions since its launch for the Olympic Games at Savannah in 1996, but the new model for 2011 breaks new ground.

Using hi-tec ultra stretch 1.5mm neoprene, the suit is designed to provide a layer of thermal protection for the performance dinghy sailor that does not restrict movement or flexibility in anyway. A key to designing a suit with ultimate stretch is removing the need for a zip, and the materials used here do just that. The amount of stretch is such that you simply step in to the suit.

Once inside, the contoured design fits ergonomically next to the skin, the lightly brushed lining makes the suit easy to put on and extremely comfortable to wear, but is also highly water resistant.

The sleeveless and ¾ leg-length design help to keep body temperature regulated in warmer conditions, and high tenacity neoprene provides the necessary re-enforcement at the knees and seat,

When the temperature drops slightly, the Speedskin suit can be complemented with the Speedskin long sleeve top to provide added thermal protection. Available in men’s and women’s specific designs, the Speedskin suit will enhance your competitive edge.
