Congratulations are in order after the announcement earlier tonight of the winners of the NSW Sailing Awards for 2002. With the introduction of five new awards categories this year there were a number of inaugural winners starting off a new tradition. The Services to Sailing Award was presented to a number of individuals who have given many dedicated hours to the sailing community. NSW Sailing Foundation Chairman Chris Harper said, "tonight is about recognising the sailors and those who have given to the sailing fraternity".
