Christoffer Sundby/Frode Bovim (NOR) won the combined Stenungsund and Rungsted events finalised in Rungsted, Denmark today, 22 June.

Having taken second place in the Stenungsund finals last week to Danes Allan Norregaard/Klaus Naur, they had to conseed to another danish team, the brothers Peter and Soren Hansen who won both races in today's Superfinal on the windy Oresund.

Third in both events were Michael Hestbaek/Dennis Dengsoe Anderson who however still hold on to a healthy overall lead at the 49er World Cup.

The event organiser, Royal Danish Yacht Club had to content with gale force winds Friday and Saturday and only managed to run four races yesterday evening, completing the qualifying rounds as well as the elimination finals starting with six boats, eliminating one boat after each of three races. The three boat final with the first boat to win two races determined the over all winner of this World Cup event which is part of the Scandinavian Race Week.
