Felixstowe Ferry greeted 23 Larks with near perfect sailing conditions. The racing proved to be very close, as it has been all season with only 6 points separating the top 6 boats.

Race 1 was sailed in a steady force 2 with Matt White and Clare Laforge winning from Chris Fish & Anna Hotchkiss with Steve Cumley & Rachel Jones finishing a close 3rd.

In race 2 Steve Dunn & Tegwyn Roberts took the lead round the windward mark closely followed by Hufton & Whitehouse and White & Laforge. Hufton judging the strong tide well passed Dunn on the last beat taking 1st place with Dunn 2nd and Pynn & Woolgar taking 3rd from Matt White.

On Sunday race 3 was sailed in a force 3 with a tricky chop. After a long beat Hufton took the lead followed by Dougal Scott & Ruth Johnson and Dave Chisholm & Kerry Ryan. Hufton pulled out a big lead and went on to win with Dave & Nick Marlow coming through to take 2nd with Scott 3rd.

Race 4 Hufton, Dunn & Pynn broke away from the fleet. Hufton proving to fast to catch left a very close race between Dunn & Pynn with Dunn just taking 2nd on the line.

Yet again the meeting came down to the last race with 6 boats still able to win. This time it was White & Laforge who took the lead round the windward mark, followed by Dunn, Fish, Scott. White went on to win with Chris Fish taking 2nd from Dunn on the line..

Results:

2nd Nigel Hufton & Chris Whitehouse 12pts
3rd Mathew White & Clare Laforge 13pts
