New spreader ends from Proctor

Always looking for that performance improvement, Selden have announced the imminent launch of a new spreader end cap for the Proctor Performance range.
Constructed of a high tech composite material the end cap should prove to be a tougher replacement to the existing Proctor end. The main design innovation comes through the way the new end cap can handle different wire sizes.
This will allow sailors to lock the spreader tip to the shroud and maintain a constant dihedral spreader angle. The aim is to keep the angle between the spreader arm and the shroud wire the same both above and below the spreader.
In addition to standard 3mm wire, the new end offers a tight lock onto 2.5mm wire (both 1/19 and dyform). The main classes to benefit from this will be the 470 and 420, and others using dyform wire.
The new end cap will now be supplied as standard on all new spreaders and will also be available separately for those sailors wanting to upgrade.
