Masters of speed open for business on the French trench

With a forecast for good ideal weather conditions for Wednesday and Thursday of a northwesterly of 40 to 45 knots, gusting to 50 knots, Pascal Maka, coordinator of the Masters of Speed, has opened the channel at Saintes-Maries de la Mer to windsurfers.

The line-up includes Finian Maynard, record holder of the absolute speed world recrd of 48.70 knots, Antoine Albeau, France record holder speed on a sailboard (47.69 knots set on 3 January, 2008), David Garrel, Patrick Diethelm (World record one design with 44.77 knots) and Cyril Moussilmani. The objective is clear: 50 knots!
