Foilers set for Kiel

The Interational Moth fleet have been invited to Kiel Week this year

The foiling International Moth fleet are set to head to Kiel week this year to join in with Germany's ISAF Grade 1 Olympic and International Classes regatta.

For the first time the spectacular 11 foot single-hander will be represented in the International section of Kieler Woche 2008 (June 21 to June 24, 2008), and the International Moth Class Association expects more than 30 entries.

The class is most popular in Australia and Great Britain, but fleets are growing across the globe including the US, France, Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands. With the class taking off in Europe it is hoped many new comers to the fleet will make the journey to Germany

Schedule:

Part I: International Classes: June 21 to June 24.
Part II: Olympic Classes: June 25 to June 29.
Part III: Women Match Race: June 25 to June 29
Part IV: Offshore:
June 21 to June 24 mainly: ORC International and ”IDM under ORC International”.
June 21 and June 26 to June 29: 12er
June 25 to June 29: X-35 Europeans, Farr 40
June 27 to June 29: Cruiser/Racer - Yardstick, ORC, and One-Design-Classes
