Heading for the Riviera

Following their first Grand Prix event at Rutland Water last month the 18tft Skiff fleet now take to the sea sailing out of Torquay from the Royal Torbay Yacht Club this weekend for the second round of the 2008 UK series.
The fleet return to the venue of their 2007 National Championships for their last opportunity to test themselves before heading to Europe next month to take part in the European Grand Prix on Lake Garda and the European International Championships at Six-Fours in the South of France.
For those interested in catching these spectacular craft on the English Riviera, racing commences on Saturday at 1.00pm.
Additional the 18ft Skiff Class Association have confirmed the final details of the 2008 UK calendar which now looks like this:
Round One - Rutland Water Sailing Club - 26-27 April
Round Two - Royal Torbay YC - 17-18 May
Round Three - Weymouth (WPNSA) - 10-12 August (UK Nationals)
Round Four - Hamble Point - 14-16 August (Euro GP event)
Round Five - Hayling Island Sailing Club - 27-28 Sept
