Arnaud Psarofaghis won the Swiss Moth Open Cup at the Société Nautique de Genève ahead of Mikis Psarofaghis and Frédéric Duvoisin. Florence Beal, one of the three women participating in the competition, finished in fourth place, while the first foreigner, the German Harald Steiner, took seventh.
Arnaud Psarofaghis won all three races of the Swiss Moth Open Cup this weekend. “It was a fantastic competition. I would have liked to sail more races,” said Psarofaghis who finished in fourth place at the last World Championships in Weymouth in July and is current Moth European Champion.
The 20 participants in the Swiss Moth Open Cup enjoyed light wind conditions (ten knots) on Saturday but were not able to sail on Sunday because of the lack of wind. The winner was awarded with the “SNG Alinghi Trophy.”
