A mid range 3rd rig southeaster of 15-20 knots hit the bay for heats 7 & 8.

Yabba Dabba made the best of it winning both races. Garde and Nuplex finished second and third respectively in heat 7. Nuplex and As Good As It Gets finished second and third respectively in heat 8. Nuplex currently leads overall from Garde and Yabba Dabba
.
The winners of the Miners trophy for the previous day (Richard & crew on Grove Fruit Juice) were unable to find a worthy winner today, so they re-awarded it to themselves. Their excellent mine two days ago was textbook and the sequence captured for posterity.

The gap between the Team points have been fairly stable since day 1. Australia’s points are slowly building by a few a day, NZ is putting up a good fight, winning a number of races. The gap is approx 109 points at the moment. Something like 1420 AUS to 1311 NZ.

The final two heats will be sailed tomorrow.
