Ashby continues his winning streak

World Champion takes Australian A-Class catamaran nationals

The A Class Cats have just completed their last race of a 10 race series at the Australian Nationals held out of the Belmont 16ft Sailing Club in New South Wales.

There was no doubt as to who was going to win: Glenn Ashby from Victoria, the present World Champion in both the A-Class and with Darren Bundock in the Tornado, had the series sown up with two races to spare. Despite this the final result was close with the next places taken following great performances from Brad Collett and Scott Anderson coming in second and third on a gentle SE breeze - just what the sailors ordered for their last day after firm and consistent NE breezes through the bulk of the championship.
