The Musto Performance Skiff Class Association (MPSCA) and Ovington Boats are delighted to announce that at the recent ISAF Conference the Musto Performance Skiff was granted ISAF International status; upgrading the class from the previous Recognized Status.
The Musto Performance Skiff was launched in 1999 and since that time has enjoyed significant growth in numbers, with boats now sold into 17 countries world wide. The achievement of ISAF International status is a milestone for the growth of the class and will further assist in international development.
Dave Hall from Ovington Boats said; “We have had a great year with sales exceeding 65 boats world wide and 86 boats from 13 nations sailing at the first World Championships; ISAF International status will support further development of the class overseas and perhaps open Olympic doors should the MPSCA wish to push the class in that direction.”
MPSCA Chairman Simon Reynolds said; “The class association has put a huge effort into the development of the class overseas and the recognition by ISAF is a great reward for all those involved and we expect this will lead on to the growth of the class in even more countries.”
