After the first day of racing the British teams are filling the top places and dominating the 29er European Championship. Sailing in perfect conditions that range from five knots in the morning to 20 plus in the late afternoon the fleet enjoyed some tight racing.

Huw Humphrey's and Max Todd from Wales head up the results with a first and two seconds, Dylan Fletcher and Rob Partridge lie in second with Phil Walker and Matt Gotrel third.

Whilst the wind and water make for great sailing the heat has taken a few casualties, and the black flag a few more, giving many competitors high scores after day one.

Real Club Nautico Denia with their well organised team have put on a fine event with food before and after sailing.
