Wetsuits for sailors

GILL clothing has launched a wetsuit range specifically designed for sailing and a hybrid clothing range

The technical marine clothing company, Gill, has looked at the overall aesthetics of its Wetsuits and has developed a new range using state-of-the-art materials in several different areas of the garment, all serving a very specific purpose.

In a general release Gill noted the areas they have paid specific attention to; for example, extra durability needed in the seat, knees and shin areas and where the harness or buoyancy aid sits. The garments have been designed to incorporate excellent stretch in the right areas providing freedom of movement, and vital protection from wind chill as well as overall comfort.

Producing a six-piece range designed for male, female and junior sailors is a step away from previous ranges from Gill, where the wetsuits were designed to be worn by all types of water sports enthusiasts.

Combining technical performance with day-long comfort, the Gill Wetsuit range is built to withstand the punishment of active use.

In addition to their new range of wetsuits Gill have brought out a collection of hybrid clothes for use on and off the water, called the Gill Technical Apparel range.

Made from cutting edge performance materials the clothes have been designed to be equally at home both on and off the water. Main features include; the ability to dry fast, wick fast and protection from UV rays.

The Technical Apparel range includes; tops, shorts and jackets and is split equally between men's and women's designs.
