Gill sign up for 2006 Volvo Youth Sailing ISAF World Championship

Gill has joined a prestigious group of sponsors and suppliers of the Volvo Youth Sailing ISAF World Championship 2006 as Official Clothing Supplier to the Championships.

The company is supplying a team uniform to the 120 strong volunteer shore team as well as Gill-branded racing bibs for all competitors.

Over 200 young sailors from 50 nations are expected to attend the Volvo Youth Sailing ISAF World Championship 2006, making it the biggest Championship ever. It stands as the most important event on the youth sailing calendar and has a remarkable track record of identifying the future stars of the sport, with previous gold medal winners including the likes of Russell Coutts (NZL), Robert Scheidt (BRA), Ben Ainslie (GBR) and Siren Sundby (NOR).

The 2006 Championship will be held at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy in Great Britain, from 12-21 July 2006, the venue for the 2012 Olympic Sailing Competition.
