Abersoch Dinghy Week sign Gill

The Nottingham-based performance clothing brand Gill has announced its title sponsorship of one of the largest and most popular dinghy racing events in the UK, namely Abersoch Dinghy Week, hosted and run by the South Caernarvonshire Yacht Club (SCYC). Now named Gill Abersoch Dinghy Week, this year’s event runs from 24th – 29 July. The Week attracts around 400 entries racing in up to 25 classes.

In a sponsorship deal that was finalised during the Schroders London Boat Show last month Gill will provide all the course cards and hull stickers and brand the competitor race information as well as supply the overall prizes to the winning helm and crew in each class.

The Chairman of Abersoch Dinghy Week Brian Holland is delighted, commenting: “It’s great having Gill on board and together we’re looking forward to a flourishing future.”

Terry Cooke from Gill responded by announcing that everyone within the company is really enthusiastic about this latest sponsorship and as a further commitment to the event, Gill is providing the opportunity for every single entrant to this year’s Gill Abersoch Dinghy Week to enter a very special prize draw to win an RS Feva XL sailing dinghy valued at £3,200.00.
