Many disqualifications at the 420 Worlds in Brest

While the day started with a lack of wind on the Rade de Brest, racing finally got underway at 1400 in a 9 knot westerly. In the Gold fleet there were 17 boats that did not finish.

After a win in race one for Matt Burge and Chris Evans' GBR team, the duo were black flagged in race two and now hold 20th position overall with Ed Powys and Will Morgan the top British boat. With their win in race two New Zealand duo Peter Burling and Bruce Kennedy have now pulled into the lead.
