Hobie Cat Europe has announced that the Hobie Tiger has been chosen as the open multihull at the ISAF World Sailing Games that will take place from the 10th to the 20th of May 2006 in Lake Neusiedl, Austria.

On the 4th of March, John Dinsdale, acting as representative of Hobie Cat Europe, signed agreement with Koloman Watzek, representative of the ISAF World Sailing Games 2006 Durchführungsgesellschaft mbH, who organises this prestigious event, in which the top catamaran sailors of the world are expected, racing on 29 brand new Hobie Tiger supplied by the Southern France company in Toulon.

The Hobie Tiger is a three sail 18-foot, high-tech sport catamaran. It was introduced on the market in 1995 and since then has won many of the big F-18 cat races in the world. At the same time the Hobie Tiger class has grown all over the world and obtained in 2000 ISAF status. The 4th Tiger World Championships are scheduled later on this month, with nearly 100 Hobie Tigers racing in Santa Barbara, California, USA.
