Rerun of 2003?

Another light day for the International Catamaran Challenge Trophy challenger and defender elimination series in Italy

Saturday May 28th 2005, Author: James Boyd, Location: Italy
The second day of the challenger and defender series prior to the International Catamaran Challenge trophy were again plagued with light winds. The large high pressure area covering most of Europe is preventing the thermal wind to blow with its usual force.

In the circumstances the Jury made a great job succeeding in completing all the scheduled program.

At the end of day two is is likely that the final will be a repetition of 2003 match between Daniele Saragoni/Teo Di Battista and John Lovell/Charlie Ogletree. Both teams won all their flights, establishing leads which seem difficult to challenge.

One full round round robin plus three flights has been sailed in the Challenger Series while two full round robins has been sailed in the Defender Series.
