No breeze

On the penultimate day of the Laser World Championship in Bitez, Turkey, racing was abandoned due to lack of breeze.
The 143 competitors saw every weather condition possible with thunder and rain and after many hours waiting for the wind to fill in it failed to materialise causing the race committee to abandon racing for the day.
This leaves double Olympic medallist Robert Scheidt of Brazil leading going into the final day from Michael Blackburn of Australia. Tomorrow will see a new world champion crowned and a further two races are scheduled.
