RS calendar comes to a close this weekend

Monday November 8th 2004, Author: Martin Wadhams, Location: United Kingdom
The new-look Weymouth and Portland Sailing Academy is the venue for the last major event on the packed 2004 RS calendar - the Gul Great RS Pursuit Race. There will be one 2 hour pursuit race each day, commencing at 1pm on Saturday and 11am on Sunday and all RS classes are very welcome.

At 5.30pm on Saturday afternoon the RS Association 2004 AGM will take place, open to all members. Dinner will be available afterwards followed by a big RS party to round off the season, including the prize-giving for the 2004 Fat Face Racing and Eurocup Circuits at around 8pm.

The first major multi class RS regatta of the year was the 10th Anniversary Regatta at Hayling Island in early May, when over 250 boats celebrated ten years of RS racing in true style with some top sailing, huge parties, awards and speeches. It seems like a long time ago when you look at all the RS events that have been won and lost since then!

Next stop on the social calendar after the Gul Great RS Pursuit Race will be the London Boat Show party in early January - and then the Racing Circuits will start again only a few weeks later.
