Tuesday November 30th 2004, Author: Tanguy de la Motte, Location: France
From the 18-20 December, 15 big names of sailing will race in Saint-Gilles-les-Bains, on the Indian Ocean waters of the Réunion Island for the second Challenge Coco Beach over 18-20 December.

After the success of last year’s edition when Roland Jourdain, Bertrand de Broc, Marie Tabarly, Philippe Guyban (winner last year), Tanguy de Lamotte and Arnaud Bertrand, the Challenge Coco Beach this year has invited 15 skippers to come to the island to race, meet the locals and share their passion.

The skippers will discover this island of beautiful scenery via several activities: long walk around the volcano, scuba diving, canyoning, swimming in the lagoon... This event is organised by Blue Sail Company and the Club Nautique Bourbon is aimed at promoting sailing in this remote part of France.

Around 30 sports catamarans will be on the start line and 15 will be skippered by the European skippers including: Karine Fauconnier, Frank Cammas, Lalou Roucayrol, Armel Le Cléac'h, Philippe Monnet, Charles Caudrelier, Jérémie Beyou, Marc Emig, Samantha Davies, Romain Attanasio, Tanguy de Lamotte, Bruno Jourdren, Christine Briand, Laurent Pages, Daniel Souben.
