Anderson and Stenhouse early leaders
Sunday August 29th 2004, Author: Class Association, Location: United Kingdom
Racing commenced at 11.00 am with a shifting 15-18 knots and brilliant sunshine, which dropped to 10-12 knots as a front moved over the course, resulting in large shifts and wind pressure changes across the course.
The theme of the days racing was therefore set early on, with sailors being punished by the high quality fleet if they made a tactical mistake.
Few sailors managed to keep it together throughout the whole day. but it was Kevin Anderson and Richard Stenhouse who were the most consistent, and are now 1st and 2nd overall after the 5 races sailed.
