Winkler leads Soling's German Open

Only six races raced yet and for the third consecutive year team Heiko Winkler/Stefan Wenzel/Jens Niemann - GER 297 are again the top Soling sailors in Germany with an almost perfect record with five first places and a second place in the third race ahead of five other countries and an excellent fleet of 25 crews sailing on Lake Chiemsee.

Seven races were held with Karl Haist/Ewald Köstler/Peter Jacob - GER 308 (16pts) taking second place one point ahead of the Hungarian Westel team with Georg Wossala/ Leslie Kovacsi/ Peter Nemeth - HUN 77 (17pts).

Team Roman Koch/Maxl Koch/Christoph Wossala GER 300 (28pts), recently the Italian Open Championship winner, came fifth just two points behind Holger Weichert/Laurent Scheel/Frank Feller GER 49 (26pts)
