18footer racing postponed

Big wind conditions halt play in Sydney Harbour

Sunday November 16th 2003, Author: Frank Quealey, Location: Australasia
Unfortunately, for the second time in three weekends the Australian 18 Footers League has had to cancel its Sydney Harbour 18ft Skiff race due to excessively strong (more than 30 knots) southerly winds.

A decision regarding the re-sail of Heat 2 of the Casio NSW Championship will be made during the coming week but it is expected that the re-sail will take place on Sunday 21 December.

The selection series to determine the Australian team for the JJ Giltinan Trophy Championship will begin next Sunday when the four skiffs that have been contesting the world circuit return (hopefully) during the week.
