Joint Class Association to hold mass gathering at Datchet in October

The Javelin, Fireball, Osprey, Flying Dutchman, 505, 470, Hornet and National 18 classes joined forces at the Sailboat Show this spring to form a joint class association. No official name as yet other than the Joint Class Association.

The existing Class Associations still live but this new joint venture is our way of fighting the corporate might of Laser, RS, etc

The first event will be the Symmetric Grand Prix to be held on 4-5 October at Datchet Water where there will be £4,000+ worth of prizes on offer.

An International sailing coach will be filming the racing and holding clinics for those who are interested.

The event is likely to be oversubscribed as there will be a limit of 120 boats and the organisers are planning a mass start.

There is an online entry form are on the Fastsail website - and those registering on line will save £10 on the entry fee. Entry on the day will be accepted as long as there are places left at £30 per boat.
